OPEN CALL FOR ENTRIES: SpaceOneEleven Artist Opportunity 2024-25
SpaceOneEleven proudly hosts the open call for artists- Spirit of Helena: An Exhibition of Local Art. The call is open through September 1st, 2024. The exhibition will be installed in the gallery for the season with an opening reception on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 5:30-8:00 pm.
The exhibition aims to give a voice to emerging and established artists. Selected artists will have their work exhibited at SpaceOneEleven 111 6th Ave, Helena, MT 59601
Through art, we have the power to illuminate, preserve, and express the diverse tapestry of human existence. Spirit of Helena seeks to celebrate the depth, complexity, and beauty inherent in our shared journey in our beautiful town. Spirit of Helena is more than just a collection of beautiful works of art; it is a testament to our shared humanity. It is a reminder that, despite our differences, we are all interconnected by our joys, sorrows, hopes, and dreams. As artists, we recognize the privilege and responsibility entrusted to us to bear witness to the world around us.
ELIGIBLE ARTISTS: Open to Helena residents and natives as well so those in residence or apprenticeship under a local artist; all ages accepted.
ELIGIBLE WORK: Works submitted must be legal and the artist assumes responsibility for having the legal right to exhibit and sell the work. Fine arts nudes and implied nude works are acceptable. This exhibition can include work that has been digitally manipulated.
ENTRY FEE: No submission fee
COMMISSION FEE: 20% (artists are expected to either leave art hanging till the end of season or replace it with another original piece)
